Cross-regulation is the variation in output voltage of one rail caused by load variations on other rails. In triple-output configurations, our engineering team uses independent optocoupler feedback loops and linear auxiliary post-regulators to keep cross-regulation variations below ±5% under asymmetric load conditions.
Traditional multi-channel power supplies require a minimum load (usually 10% of nominal rating) on the primary controller rail (often the 5V channel) to keep the feedback pulse-width modulation (PWM) active. Operating without this minimum load can cause auxiliary output voltages to drift. We also offer options with zero minimum load configurations.
